Last May 2, 2012, 20 MetroWear designers rocked the runway with a show which aimed to highlight three of the biggest trends this season– aquatic, retro romance, and 50s couture.
Fashion industry greats like: Randy Ortiz, Cary Santiago, Avel Bacudio, Joey Samson, Francis Libiran, Dennis Lustico, JC Buendia, Louis Claparols, Ronaldo Arnaldo, and Jojie Lloren will each be paired with young designers: Sassa Jimenez, Kermit Tesoro, Mak Tumang, Ferdie Abuel, Eric delos Santos, Jerome Lorico, John Herrera, Veejay Floresca, Roland Alzate, and Martin Bautista.

Fashion designer greats like Jojie Lloren, Cary Santiago, Randy Ortiz, JC Buendia, Ronaldo Arnaldo, Avel Bacudio, Joey Samson, Francis Libiran, Dennis Lustico, and Louis Claparols, together with young designers like Eric delos Santos, Veejay Floresca, Martin Bautista, Sassa Jimenez, Kermit Tesoro, John Herrera, Mak Tumang, Ferdie Abuel, Jerome Lorico, and Roland Alzate presented a 5- piece collection for the show.
MetroWear Rocks The Runway which was directed by Robby Carmona also highlighted original Filipino rock music with famed artists who took to the stage as models walked the runway– singer Rico Blanco, with bands like Kjwan (founded by Marc Abaya), Callalily (fronted by Kean Cipriano), and Wolfgang (led by Basto Artadi) played on as the crowd that night thoroughly enjoyed the marriage of music and fashion.
